All You See, All You Hear

Based on Ora Zadok's (the artist's grandmother) personal recollections as an emigrat, she brings together a mixed perspective of her Yemenite origins with her Western new life. The composer Diego Soifer interacted with the video, and suggested sounds and music that would juxtapose her story. At times the music becomes a

background of her image, in other times it dramatizes her words.

All You See, All You Hear  is the first work out of a couple of works that deal with my family's origins and culture. Specifically in the perspective of Yemenite living in Western society.
